Posted on 04 January 2008 at 15:52:19 I've been interested in playing TR for a little while now (Ever since I found a little blurb about it in an insert from when I bought Guild Wars), and now that I have the money to make some purchases these days, I'm trying to find out more about the game.
I've watched the gameplay videos on the main site, but it doesn't really answer my one question about combat: is it Wait/Turn based like most other MMOs, or is it more twitch based like, say, the new Hellgate: London game, or some other third person shooter? I have logged a lot of hours into many MMOs, and I've become so jaded with just point and click, waiting to kill an enemy while occasionally hitting a hotkey for a skill, and lathering and rinsing and repeating.
I've been dying for something that takes actual player skill into account, and would give me a chance to run and jump around and dodge to avoid oncoming attacks, as well as taking my own aim into account for defeating my enemies! This type of gameplay seems to be completely lost on MMO developers...
Please, let me know if anyone thinks this game would be more up my alley, or if I should continue my search elsewhere?
