Foraging is used to gather seeds, which can be sold at a Farmers Shop or planted using the Planting skill. NOTE: Pecans and grapes are seeds, but you can also eat them. Bloodroot isn’t a seed, but a magical healing herb which you can use with First Aid skill or sell at a Magic Shop. To gather seeds, you must have a Foraging Stick and stand next to a flower, mushroom, or other small plant in the wilderness. Double-click on the foraging stick, and then select the plant. If the area you are in has been depleted of seed resources, you’ll be told that. Move a short distance away and try again. Otherwise, after about four seconds you’ll be told whether you’ve collected a seed (and if so, what kind). The odds of success are 25% plus 1/2 of your skill level plus 1/6 of your Intelligence. The exact kind of seed you find is random: Seed Type: Pecan Grape Barley Seed Wheat Seed Tomato Seed Cotton Seed Lime Seed Lemon Seed Sugar Cane Seed Orange Seed Apple Seed Cinnamon Seed Banana Seed Cherry Seed Rose Seed Bloodroot | Odds: 12% 11% 8% 7% 10.95% 10% 9% 8% 5% 6% 5% 2% 3% 2% 1% .05% | Farmers can plant seeds, growing food and ingredients which Bakers need for making baked goods. You can also sell seeds at a Farmers Shop. The prices of seeds vary. When you sell seeds to a Farmers Shop, you can expect to receive about half this amount: Seed Type: Pecan Grape Barley Seed Wheat Seed Tomato Seed Cotton Seed Lime Seed Lemon Seed Sugar Cane Seed Orange Seed Apple Seed Cinnamon Seed Banana Seed Cherry Seed Rose Seed Bloodroot | Price: 4 4 9 10 5 4 3 3 8 3 3 6 5 5 6 85 | Foraging for seeds eventually wears out your foraging stick. Single-click on the stick to see what kind of shape it’s in: new, slightly used, worn out, etc. A new foraging stick costs 50 at a Farmers Shop, and lasts an average of 200 uses before breaking (unless it gets repaired with the Wood Repair skill).
