SOLDIERS FOUND OUT THE PERSON WHO BURIED POLYNICES

After Polynices’s body has been covered by an unknown person, king Creon was very angry. The King ordered his soldiers to find the person who violated the new proclamation and bring the criminal to justice.

We interviewed the sentry who brought the bad new to the King. He told us that as soon as he went back to the post, he and other solders cleaned the dust of corpse of Polynices and stripped him bare and took him to the high ground. They awoke in the night of the darkness and waited to see someone appear. 

“There was no any strange action in the whole night, not until in the morning when the sun raises.” He told us just as he was still in the horrible nightmare. “We saw a huge white ball in the noon sky, beating, blazing down, and then it happened-suddenly, a whirlwind, twisting a great dust-storm up from the earth, a black plague of the heavens, filling the plain, ripping the leaves off every tree in sight, choking the air and sky.” He was sweating while he talks. “After the storm passed, we saw a girl stand up there and cried for the corpse. Then, she scooped the dry dust to cover the body. Then she lifted a bronze urn high and poured into the body of Polynicse.” The soldiers captured her immediately and brought her to King Creon.

Surprisingly, the girl that the soldiers caught was the daughter of the former King, the brother of King Creon-Oedipus. This is going to be a very tough case for our new King-Creon.
