Obituaries
Queen Eurydice
Queen Eurydice died at the alter today 441 B.C. at the age of 52. She was a
resident and Queen of Thebes and wife of King Creon. She was born in Thebes
in 493 B.C. and received her education there. Eurydice came from a prominent
family here in Thebes and married Creon at the tender age of thirteen. Among
her survivors are her husband King Creon and her devoted son Herald. Funeral
services will be held at the Thebes funeral home , 69 main St. Thebes on
Tuesday at 9 a.m.. Burial will take place in the family plot in Thebes.
Prince Haemon
Prince Haemon died 441 B.C. at the age of 21. He was to wed Antigone daughter
of King Oedipus. He was born in Thebes in 462 B.C.. Prince Haemon was well
liked around town and frequently helped out in the market he will be sorrily
missed. He is survived by his loving farther King Creon and his devoted brother Herald. A mass of burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 a.m..
Burial will take place in the family plot in Thebes.
Antigone
Antigone died 441 B.C. in her prison cell at the age of twenty. She was
incarcerated for disobeying King Creons law and was sentenced to life in
prison. She was born in Argos in 461 B.C.. She is survived by her loving
sister Ismene. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m..
King Eteocles
King Eteocles died on the battlefield today 441 B.C. at the age of
twenty-six. He was a resident and King of Thebes son to King Oedipus. He was
born in Argos in 467 B.C. and later moved to Thebes. He died honorably defending his city and the lives of us all. King Eteocles was a great leader
and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving sister Ismene. Funeral survives will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m..
Polynices
Polynices died on the battlefield today 441 B.C. at the age of 24. He was a
resident and Prince of Thebes son to King Oedipus. He was born in Thebes in
465 B.C. and received his education here. His life was full of tragedy and
ended in a crazed fit of anger as he turned trader on his own city and
attacked her. He was a raving lunatic and will not be missed. He is survived
by his sister Ismene. There will be no funeral services for Polynices. He is
to be left in the field to rot where the birds and dogs can eat his flesh. By
order of King Creon.
