Cooking / Roasting
Roasting is used to cook raw meat and fish. Cooked
food can be eaten, or sold at a Tavern. To roast, you must stand next to a
stove, magic flame, campfire, or other large heat source. Double-click on a
stack of the item you want to roast and then select the stove or fire. If it has
burned too low or gone out entirely, you’ll be told that. Relight it or find one
that’s still burning. Otherwise, the roasting begins. Each type of meat and fish
has a different cooking time, difficulty, food value, and price. You can sell
cooked food at a Tavern. The prices of cooked and uncooked foods vary. When you
sell cooked food to a Tavern, you can expect to receive about half this amount:
You’ll roast 1 of the selected item at a
time. Each roasting attempt
takes the same amount of time and yields the same amount of experience no matter
how many items you’re roasting. The odds of successfully roasting each item
equals Difficulty + (Roasting Skill/2) + (Intelligence/6).
