0.0 Guild Objectives
Our goal is to bring honor into World of Warcraft.
Integrity must be upheld for all of those in our ranks regardless of clan. This document is created for the purpose of furthering the enjoyment of the game for all of those that wish to be in the Static Guild. It is a charter that will serve as a guide in establishing and sustaining the guild in a complicated and new gaming environment. The rules and regulations contained in this text must be followed, but are not immune to change or amendment. The only stipulation is that we as a guild must always strive to follow the motto of "bringing honor to online gaming".
1.0 Guild Leadership
The guild leadership will initially consist of three positions. These positions shall be Guild Master and two High Council positions.
The Guild Master - will be considered the highest-ranking member of the guild. The Guild Master will be responsible for providing direction and "vision" for the guild. The Guild Master will have the authority to make any decisions necessary, (with approval from a majority of the Council) so far as they do not conflict with any established rules in the charter.
High Council members - will assist in running the guild. The High Council members will only be outranked by the Guild Master and could be assigned roles which include Guild Diplomats, Recruiters or any other roles deemed necessary in addition to thier primary duties. High Council members are also charged with enforcing the rules of the guild. Any decision of a High Council Member or the Guild Master can be reviewed by the leadership as a whole.
2.0 Guild Positions
The Guild Leadership has the ability to create any position[s] they see fit. These positions only exist as long as the current leadership exists. These positions are intended to cover any unforeseen roles that might need to be handled. These positions will be adviser (non-voting) positions, unless otherwise stated.
2.1
The High Council with advice form the membership will appoint Clan Leaders. Clan Leaders will act as event hosts for their clan. Duties will include but not limited to holding a weekly meeting with hunt and PVP raids. On all clan functions the clan leader will be out ranked by only the Guild Master and Council Leaders. Clan weekly meeting and raids are the only time guild members from apposing clans can but do not have to be asked to leave a group or asked not to join the Clan meeting room in Team Speak. Other then the above stated, the guild will function as one unit.
3.0 Membership
Members may sponsor new recruits. Recruits must under go a minimum (4) week recruiting period. During that time, the recruit must receive five (5) positive vouches from other full members. If a recruit receives three (3) or more negative vouches, one or all of them must be re-certified in order to become a full member. The responsibility lies on the sponsor to help remedy the negative vouches. If a recruit has five (5) or more positive vouches and less then three (3) negative vouches, the council will review the recruit and grant full member status on a majority vote. Contact the Guild Recruiter for further instructions.
Members from other Guilds may only need to go through a two (2) week recruitment period. (to learn the rules, COC and leadership) After the (2) week period the leaders will see if they have learned the required info and be voted in as members with a majority vote. All applicants must submit an application, undergo a preliminary interiview by the Guild Recruiter, obtain a sponsor, and recieve the required vouches, regardless of past affiliations.
NOTE: Members can only be forceably removed from the guild on a majority vote by the High Council.
4.0 Charter Revisions
Revisions of the charter can only be made by a 2/3 vote by the guild leadership. This can be done one of two ways, by the leadership proposing an amendment to the council or a member bringing a petition. The petition is done in the same manner as a challenge of leadership ruling.
5.0 Code of Conduct
The (CoC) Code of Conduct is a general outline of how Static members are expected to conduct themselves while a member of this guild. It is understood that some of the following could interfere with a well role-played character; in these cases a member would not be expected to hold to the exact wording of the code of conduct. The leaders of the guild have the authority to enforce the CoC in all causes if an individual is thought to be going "to far over the line" or is behaving in a way to bring discredit to the guild. All members and recruits must conduct themselves in an honorable fashion at all times, this includes all alternate characters. Alternate characters are expected to uphold the basic beliefs of Static as well. Honesty, integrity and maturity in dealing with others is expected of every guild member at all times especially when dealing with fellow guild members.
Every member of the guild must adhere to the highest standards of conduct in the game.
No member of the guild will be left out of any guild hunts/raids due to his level or skills. It is also recommended that for non-guild hunts that groups be aware of who is in the guild looking for a group and try to accommodate them in said hunts keeping with the Static Family Spirit.
Any of you should be willing to help fellow members at any time. As a group we should all share and give to fellow members. Members who constantly take from others and don't give back will be disciplined.
Flaming in the forums or while in guild chat is strictly forbidden. Repeated offenses could result in temporary suspension of forum access, demotion in rank, or dismissal from the guild.
Character names and any titles must be in good taste so as not to bring discredit or dishonor upon the guild or other members.
Foul or inappropriate language is not allowed. If anyone notices a guild member speaking in a less then honorable fashion it should be corrected on the spot, if the member still refuses to curb their tongue then it should be reported to the Leadership Council for review.
Always act courteous and respectful in public so you don't dishonor the guild. Do not speak in public to non-guild members or others about internal guild issues.
The leadership will make no rules limiting PVP , interfering with other player's enjoyment of the game is forbidden except in the case of dealing with players who's goal in gaming is to cause grief to other players. In the case of a person who deprives pleasure in causing grief, it is our goal to limit such activity whenever possible.
Dues are not required but everyone should try and donate what they can.
Leaders must be dedicated WoW players that will not quit the guild or the game when things go wrong. All leaders are held to a higher standard than all other members.
Members of Static are a cut above. We, as members of Static, have taken a vow to always hold honor first in all that we do. We will give better then we get. When met with rude and intimidating behavior we will respond with respect and dignity. We will not lower ourselves to the levels of those who seek respite in the humiliation and denigration of others. We will lead by example, and show the world a better way.
These are the principles upon which the Static were founded.
These are the principles upon which we shall continue to grow and flourish.
Any violations of the Code of Conduct, or actions that reflect discredit on the guild will be subject to disciplinary action as determined by the Leadership Council.
"If it bleeds, Static has killed it. if it doesnt bleed, we've found a way to kill it anyways."

Posted on 09 January 2005 at 00:10:02 Need to put that as a link on the main page, would help considerably. I think many members need to be reminded of these things.
Are the weekly meetings going to be held in a particular location that the guild likes ? a major hub but outa the way of lag and prowlers? i can only assume these get togethers may be the coz of some tipsy behavior *hickup*.
